Flini – Privacy Policy

Section A – Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Flini collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the app to capture or upload ingredient photos and generate recipe suggestions, cooking steps, and pairing tips.

Flini is designed as a home-cooking reference tool. It is not intended to provide medical advice, nutrition diagnosis, food safety certification, or any guarantee that a recipe will be perfect, safe, or suitable for every user.

By using the app, you acknowledge that some information may be processed to provide recipe generation, history features, and app functionality, subject to the limits described in this policy.

Section B – Face Data / Biometric Information

Flini does not use facial recognition, facial detection for identification, biometric analysis, or face templates. We do not attempt to identify who is in a photo, infer identity, or create biometric profiles.

If an uploaded image incidentally contains a person’s face, that face is not used for biometric purposes and is not retained for face analysis. Any such image data is handled only for the ingredient-recognition purpose requested by you and is deleted after processing.

We do not collect, store, or build biometric identifiers, and we do not use facial data to profile users.

Section C – How We Use Information

We use information only for the following purposes:

• To analyze an ingredient photo and generate a recipe, cooking steps, and pairing tips.
• To show scene cards, recipe history, saved cards, and coin balance.
• To process app functions such as copy, save, regenerate, delete, and restore local history.
• To respond to support requests and maintain app stability.
• To process purchases and maintain consumable coin balances where applicable.
• To protect the app from abuse, fraud, crashes, and technical errors.

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing profiling, cross-app tracking, or behavioral advertising.

We do not sell user data, and we do not use user data for AI training, model fine-tuning, or product profiling.

Section D – User Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Access the information associated with your use of the app.
• Correct inaccurate information you have provided.
• Delete local history, saved cards, and other data you control.
• Export a copy of information we can reasonably provide in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Contact us with privacy questions or requests.

Section E – Children's Privacy

Flini is intended for users aged 17 and older. It is not directed to children under 17, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17.

If we learn that information from a user under 17 has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Section F – International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in different countries or regions where we, our infrastructure providers, or our service operations are located. This means your data may be transferred across borders for hosting, storage, security, and technical support purposes.

When we transfer information internationally, we take reasonable measures to protect it and to require appropriate safeguards from the entities that process it on our behalf.

Section G – AI Processing

All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers. We do not use third-party AI services to process user data.

When you upload an ingredient image, it is sent to our internal processing environment for analysis, recipe generation, and response creation. Temporary processing data is deleted after the task is completed.

We do not use uploaded images, generated recipes, or related outputs to train models, improve external services, or create profiles about you.

Our AI output is provided for cooking inspiration and home-cooking reference only. It is not a substitute for professional nutrition, medical, allergy, or food safety advice.

Section H – Changes to Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide an in-app notice or other appropriate notice. Your continued use of Flini after the updated policy becomes effective means you accept the revised policy.

Section I – Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Information you provide: ingredient photos, optional cooking preferences, feedback, support messages, saved recipe cards, and deletion or export requests.
• Information collected automatically: device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, error reports, usage events, and technical identifiers needed to run the app.
• Purchase-related information: coin balance status, transaction status, and receipt verification information needed to manage consumable purchases.
• Cookies and similar technologies: if we operate a website or web-based support page, we may use strictly necessary cookies or similar local storage technologies for session handling, preferences, and security. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

Section J – Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege access, secure server configuration, monitoring for abuse, and routine maintenance of our systems.

No security system is completely perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we work to reduce risk and protect your information as much as reasonably possible.

Section K – Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the app and meet the purposes described in this policy:

• Uploaded content: deleted after processing is completed.
• Generated results: stored in your local history until you delete them or clear app data; you may remove them at any time.
• Temporary processing data: deleted after the AI task finishes.
• Crash logs: retained for up to 12 months.
• Support messages: retained for up to 6 months.

The app may keep up to 50 recent recipe records locally on your device, subject to your deletion controls and device storage state.

Section L – Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade user data.

We do NOT share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party.

We do NOT use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.

We may use a limited number of third-party infrastructure providers only for cloud storage, server hosting, backup, or similar basic infrastructure operations. These providers act solely on our behalf and under our instructions.

Any such provider is contractually required to protect data security and is not permitted to use user data for advertising, profiling, AI training, model optimization, its own purposes, redistribution, or independent access.

We do not allow third parties to use user content for their own benefit, and we do not authorize any third party to independently access or exploit your uploaded photos, generated recipes, or related content.

Section M – User Consent and Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Flini, you agree to this Privacy Policy and to the collection and processing practices described here. If you do not agree, you should not use the app and should remove it from your device.

Continued use of the app after updates to this policy means you accept the updated version.
